I haven’t written here at all in the entire month of June. I’ve missed being here incredibly much. I feel like giving the blog and you, my reader a big cozy hug. But if you’ve been following me on social media, you’ll know I’ve been doing quite a number of things. Well, since you’re an OG and you are also reading from the blog you get to hear the back story of all those things I’ve been up to.
We should probably start with the elephant in the room! I AM AN AUTHOR NOW!
I know that’s probably no surprise to you because I have been writing and publishing here for years but hehe I AM A PUBLISHED AUTHOR NOW. I have a book on the market, on Amazon. Can you believe that? I would have never thought o. Like for real, this time last week, I would have never imagined that a book authored by me would be available to millions worldwide. In fact if someone said that to me, I would have just laughed and said, yes, it will happen in a couple of years. This is the exact same way I got my car too. When I woke up that Saturday morning I had no clue that by the end of that day I would own a car. Haha! But JESUS DID IT!
Guys Ephesians 3:20—Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you (TPT)— actually rings very true. Never doubt what God can do, and He can do more than you think o. Take it from someone who knows and has seen it happen again and again.
Crossfire was first published on OkadaBooks on the 20th of June 2020. I honestly thought I was just publishing another story, like I’ve done here countless times. In fact Crossfire was suppose to be a series here but I couldn’t access the blog for sometime due to some trouble with my phone. In retrospect, I legit think God just set me up because the moment I hit publish on the that story on OkadaBooks, people just started raving it; Omooba has published a book! Omooba has published a book! We are proud of her! Send us the link, let’s shout you out, send a copy I’ll put it on my online bookstore, you need to get the book on Amazon, this price is too small. Haha, my people I had to be looking at myself again that abi is it not the normal story that I have been publishing on blogs for years, why is everybody freaking out? Lol. And I think the fact that I have a lot of finished and unfinished manuscripts on my computer just waiting to be released to the public made me so oblivious to how big of a deal it is to actually write a book. And that’s how it happened o. That’s how I got published. It wasn’t all roses though, it was hard but y’all know this is what I love so it was totally worth it.
Special shoutout to my mommy and daddy, my brother and sister, my friends; Tosin, Femi, Jibola, Kamil, Jerry who were particularly instrumental in bringing this book to life. The truth is without them, and I’m not exaggerating, you would not have a book to read today. I can’t possibly get into the fine details of their generosity in this post. Lol. But I am grateful to God for the unique gifts He has given me in the loving people He has surrounded me with. If I am standing it is because many people are holding my hands. You can’t use money to buy good people, they are a gift from God so they should always be treasured. If you are reading this, please know that I treasure you. I really do.
Here is the blurb of the book;
Kiitan and Enitan are inseparable twin boys. Their bond is however threatened to unravel in the vagaries of their teenage years. Crossfire is not your average tale of Nigerian boyhood as it follows the twins through bouts of love, rage, self discovery, insecurities, depression, failure, acceptance and redemption.

Now that I know the ropes of digital publishing in and out, you guys can be sure that books will be rolling out often from this side of the internet. In fact God told me I will release a book every month of this year till the end of the year. He told me this in May and I had no idea how it would happen but seeing as the first book has been published, I am confident that God will fulfil his word. My job is to be available to receive. I’m so ready for all God is going to do. Are you, dear reader? Are you?
Also, I became a Podcaster! Hehe, all within the space of one month you ask me, me too I don’t know how I am doing all these things o. They are the doings of God and it is marvellous in my sight.
Poem for Bad Days was initially a book, a poetry collection inspired by the Holy Spirit then a friend (shoutout to my Gee, Jibssss! Remember him from this post? Check out his website and subscribe to his newsletter. Thank me later) suggested we convert it to a podcast so people can listen to the poems as opposed to reading alone. We recorded and released the whole thing in a day! Lol. 31 poems available on all podcasting platforms, including Spotify. And now we have over two hundred listens in total, excluding all the listens on social media because I started sharing the poems day by day on my accounts everywhere as well. Wow. I would have never thought!!! And the reviews…. don’t even get me started. Look, let me just quickly say this, people need you. They need you and they need your gifts. God didn’t just give you certain unique abilities by mistake, it has a purpose. You have a purpose. The world is waiting for your manifestation, just take the first step.
I had to pause on sharing the poems on my social media because of the issues with my phone and also book promotion but I’ll start again soon.

Of course there is still more, because God is always up to something. But I just thought to document so far and say a big ALL GLORY BE TO GOD!
Like Paul, by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them–yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. (1 Corinthians 15:10)
Don’t forget to buy my book and look out for more to come!
Grace and peace and love,
